View Full Version : First Day of Winter

Today, being the first day of Winter, the Tucson NOAA site's soaring
forecast for Tucson sure looks chilly. http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/twc/aviation/PHXWRKSRG.php
Check out the first useable lift temp! One might say it will be a
cold day in hell if any soaring takes place....
Forget the bug wipers, how about leading edge de-icers.

Would hate to see it actually hit absolute zero! But with the max temp
being over 500 deg hotter than the first usable temp, should be some
BOOMING THERMALS!
